Certified translations

Certified (sworn) translations are documents in the form of paper printouts, carrying a stamp and a statement that they are an accurate translation of the original.

Certified translation is often a condition for documents to be accepted by government offices and institutions, and is also sometimes required in business, for example in the case of cooperation between firms or during tender procedures.

This type of translation can be performed only by officially certified translators. Since the translation is produced on paper, it must be delivered to the client in person, by post or by courier delivery.

A standard page for certified translation, in accordance with the relevant order of the Minister of Justice, consists of precisely 1125 characters, which is approximately 150 words.

Words are counted using the Word Count tool in Microsoft Word.

If the source text is supplied in editable form, enabling the precise number of words to be counted, the price charged will be based on the length of the source text (before translation).

In the case of printed texts and scans in the form of graphic files, i.e. where the number of words cannot be determined by automatic means, the price will be based on the length of the finished translation.
